A Strong Voice for Shipley…

Dear Resident,

The last two years have been tough on everyone, but community spirit has kept people going. Six years ago, I established a charity that supports the most vulnerable in the community. We employed local people and offered employability programmes, work experience and confidence-building programmes. I understand that local initiatives like this are the foundation of strong communities, and I will continue to support programmes that allow residents to help one another into employment locally.

Shipley residents deserve to feel safe on their streets, and I will always work to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour across the Ward. My 15 years of experience as a local magistrate have shown me how damaging persistent crimes are to communities. So tackling anti-social behaviour, fly-tipping, speeding, and violent crime across Shipley will always be my priority.

Small businesses are the backbone of communities such as Shipley, which is why I founded a business association to understand better and represent their needs. Making sure the Conservative government’s £15M Towns Fund helps to support local shops, bars, and restaurants and that Labours Clean Air Zone charges don’t drive away local jobs will be crucial for the future of our town.

The choice is clear, stagnation, heavy taxation, and dangerously failing services under Labour-run Bradford Council or a strong advocate of local causes who are committed to making sure Shipley remains a great place to live and work. Your vote will make a difference on Thursday 5th May.

Yours sincerely

Sharon Jandu
